Winter Rose Care & Pruning
These are the random postings of a woman who lives in rural Ohio. Julena was my grandmother's name, and I've taken it as my online name. I write about nature and gardening, especially roses; creative pursuits such as tatting and watercolor painting; and whatever else captures my fancy on any given day.
Wow, Julena. These are really well done. No self-respecting ghost would dare come near. Have a good trip.
ReplyDeleteApropos of nothing... Quite by accident I ran across a quote today that reminded me of you - you will know why.
ReplyDelete"When a true genius appears in this world, you may know him by this sign, that the dunces are all in confederacy against him." -- Jonathan Swift.
I never knew the provenance of that phrase before, or if I did, I had forgetten it.

...or, as it were, forgotten.

Ha, CB! I must add Confederacy of Dunces to my blog site list of best loved books. It's a classic. Thanks for the quote.
